Cara Froedge was born and raised in Charlotte, N.C for most of her life. At six, she bet a horse race for the first time at the local track, where she spent many Sundays with her father and his friend, Golddust. It was only fitting, then, that she take up an equestrian career and eventing in high school.

It was in her teenage years that she also developed her love for travel and the Spanish culture, even though an appendectomy in Madrid sidelined her first trip.

Since moving to Jackson Hole, Wyo. five years ago, Cara has raced in one marathon, learned (or is still learning) to ski and taken up mountain biking. Her work has taken her from the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas to a hot air balloon ride in North Carolina.

She writes about lifestyle, travel, design and food.
